Rustler 36 yacht- This well-proven, fast, blue water cruiser, from the designers Holman and Pye, inspires complete confidence with excellent sailing performance and quality of design. The Rustler 36 is very much a yacht for the experienced and discerning sailor. She is built to the highest specification for serious blue water cruising and has an enviable reputation for performance, longevity, comfort and value for money. She is immensely strong, hull and deck mouldings are laid up by hand to Lloyds Register approved specifications using Lloyds approved materials. The coachroof and inner coamings are stiffened with end core balsa and all deck fittings are reinforced by marine ply pads. The hull, deck and bulkheads are bonded with the toe rail through-bolted and sealed. Each yacht is customised and hand built to an owners specification

Strictly speaking, Jet Ski is the trademarked name of a personal water craft (PWC) produced by the Kawasaki Motor Company, but the term "jet ski" has become a generic name for all types of personal watercraft. While Kawasaki first marketed a Jet Ski in 1973, a smaller company called Bombadier actually created a workable personal watercraft in the late 1960s. Years after the Kawasaki Jet Ski became a household name, Bombadier came back with the Sea Doo and managed to make a dent in the personal water craft marketplace. Another popular PWC model is called a WaveRunner.

If the Jetsons owned a yacht, it would probably look a lot like the Maltese Falcon. The prized possession of Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tom Perkins, the Maltese Falcon is like a sailing computer, equipped with fiber-optic networks, microprocessors and touch screens that have converted the brain and muscle of sailing into a computerized control panel. Now, the only manpower required to hoist and lower its 26,000 square feet of sails is a touch of a button. Likewise, the football-field-sized yacht completed in spring of 2006 is the most expensive and technologically advanced of its kind today. With a price tag hovering around $130 million, the Maltese Falcon navigates more like a video game than a 1,367-ton boat. But Perkins isn't stopping there. He's working on a sports submarine to house on the Maltese Falcon in case he ever wants to play with some whales or manatees deep in the ocean. Think of it as his version of a jet ski.

Sailing Crew Wanted From Malta To Cape Town

Sat, 8 Sep 2007 14:43:59 +0200
I'm a "forced retired" 45 year old Swiss South African software/electronics engineer looking for one fit & good natured male or female sailing crew to join me in an adventure, sailing from from Malta to Cape Town via the Atlantic and Brazil, beginning in October '07, later non-stop from Brazil to Cape Town. My boat is a 35ft steel ketch, primitive but very seaworthy and comfortable. The embarkation point is Malta, Gibraltar or the Canary Islands.
